Lexington Law Credit Repair: Will They Help You?
Lexington Law is a law firm specializing in credit report repair. Established
in 1991, they've helped remove over 1 million negative credit report entries,
for over 600,000 clients. As far as we know, Lexington credit repair is the
oldest credit repair law firm currently advertising online, and have been given
the most favorable reviews.
How Lexington Does Business
As a client of Lexington Law, you are required to get your own copies of
credit reports from the three credit bureaus (Experian, Equifax, and Transunion).
This is more or less standard practice no matter what firm you deal with,
Lexington law or another.
You supply copies (always keep originals when you can of documents) to your
paralegal or case worker at Lexington Credit and the process begins.
Their specialty is report repair, so their processes are primarily
communication with the credit bureaus disputing negative entries that appear on
your report. While they are a Las Vegas credit repair lawyer, they conduct the
majority of their business via their website.
The Pros of Using Lexington Credit
- They are the Leader in the Credit Repair Industry
- Both Paralegals and Attorneys work to “customize” the
clients credit report with the reporting agencies
- They are a member of the Better Business Bureau, and hold a
satisfactory rating there. Lexington is indeed a Law Firm
- They have an established track record in the credit report repair
industry
I like their website, of all the online credit repair law agencies I've seen
I feel they provide the most relevant, and honest information. They put faces to
their attorneys, and indeed as mentioned are a law firm.
While their start up fees are a bit more then their competitors, their track
record allows them to do it. It's tough paying a big fee when you're not sure if
a credit repair firm has delivered for clients in the past. I appreciate the
fact they have a toll-free number available on each page. I know for something
like credit repair, I'd like to speak to someone rather then just order online.
The monthly fees Lexington Credit charges are right along with everyone else
in the industry. The Lexington Standard package (at $39.00 per month) is
probably what most people should start off with. There is a $99.00 start up fee
to get going, but they have their refund policy clearly stated on their website.
You can cancel anytime, and you're not locked into a long term contract or fees.
What you should do?
If you're considering professional help for your credit repair work Lexington
has the track record to prove why they're the best. Even still I would suggest
giving them a call to ask any questions you have. If you're looking for
one-on-one professional to client communication then Lexington Law might not be
the best choice.
Since they're the biggest, you might feel like a lost fish in a big pool. Not
that the work isn't getting done, but they're servicing so many clients at once,
communication is done only when needed.
Lexington Credit repair offers higher levels of service that includes more
personal attention and care. As I said above, the Lexington Standard service
will provide you with unlimited deletions and disputes, but you may consider one
of the Concord products if you're looking for a more in depth credit history
analysis and communication.
